Post Game Reflections: Richmond Spiders

Total and complete game by the Eagles. Simply put, Eastern came to play and blew Richmond out of the water. EWU has peaked at the right time and it's time to start booking hotels for Friscoe. This team is truly something special.

FIVE TURNOVERS. Incredible. Four out of five of those forced by the defense. As I speak, we are set up to shut out the Spiders.

Always things to clean up at the end of the week, but coaches will be hard pressed to find them. Gotta work on some route running and knowing the plays. Some kickoff coverage needs a hard look. Gotta avoid that big game hangover. Aside from that, I can't think of anything that needs change.

Beau Baldwin knows how to keep this team focused. EWU is going to crush the penguins

Best game from beginning to end that EWU has played all season. Awesome to see the defense playing so well, attacking the ball and making solid tackles. Awesome job guys!

I really hope ours is the Saturday game, as I've already managed to get that day off. Will make it up there to freeze my ass off regardless.

EAGLES BABY!

EAGLES BABY!

They just said they'll know around 7pm pacific. It BETTER be the Saturday game.

I don't know if it was our best game because we're peaking or if our opponent just wasn't that good. Either way, onward and upward!

Post game interview with Coach Baldwin, Cooper Kupp, and Samson Ebukam:

It was a much smaller crowd than we've seen in previous games but an awesome game to be at. I hope to see everyone out there next week.

Saw this on twitter. Hilarious. Bo Pellini and his cat.

I think it's a little of both. We played very well... Especially defensively... And Richmond simultaneously laid an egg. I have no explanation as to how they could have beaten North Dakota in Grand Forks.

We'll have no excuses this year. We're a very healthy team playing good football going into the semis.

A tremendous victory today. Samson was amazing on defense today. Hopefully he can keep his motor running like this next week against Youngstown.
