Just speculation on my part, but...
New regional cable networks like this are always looking for content to fill air time while they are getting off the ground. I also remember Mariani mentioning that PSU might be able to get a couple football games on TV now that JG is on board and the team has some increased visibility. It seems like this could be a match made in heaven, at least while other content (like the Ducks and Beavers) remains under contract with other networks.
