Just thinking what might have been ! This guy goes out and brings attention to the o-line for 3 years as a starter. Never played center before or ever wanted to ! All -State Defensive Lineman, SPSL Defensive Lineman of the year in 07, comes to EWU as a Paul Wulff recruit only to see Wulff move on the next year. Becomes an O-lineman at the request of Coach Best and finds immediate success with Matt Nichols at QB ! Never having played center still becomes recognized as a sophmore by the BSC. Junior year new QB, same success, gives the O-line a lot more recognition by becoming an All-American and National Champion and helps lead the team into his senior year. Play the UW and coulda ,woulda, and SHOULDA won that game. Still handles their big Nosegaurd and allows BLM to set a passing record in the process. IMHO that set the stage for the season, great expectations major letdown losing that game. The Montana game was ours but the magic was not. Chris played a hell of a game there as well even after another o-lineman went down. Was having a great game the next week against MSU until he tears an MCL and misses the next 3 games. Comes back and plays the intire Sac St game when he was only supposed to play a few reps, result ? a win in OT and still have Playoff on their minds. The reason I bring this up is he is still recieving All-American honors even having missed 3 1/2 games. The biggest honor this past week being recognized as a Walter Camp All-American. It was one of those years that hit hard but makes us all Appreciate this guy and the rest of the O-line. Jus
