Very sad story

Devin Topps was shot and killed outside a house party in north Kent

Devin, an outstanding linebacker in HS, signed with EWU in February, however, Topps never completed the required academic load at Kentridge High and did not attend Eastern Washington University.

While not enrolled, Topps still considered himself part of the EWU family. He was getting his math core classes up to speed so he could still enroll at EWU for next year. Topps and Zylstra were looking forward to playing together again... He was a hell of a player and a nice kid. Sad, sad day...

So very sad and senseless ... Our thoughts and prayers to the friends and family members. Every story that I've heard about this young man relays nothing but good things and we are all poorer for the loss.
