Eastern WINS! By 1 or 50 even the WR's will feel good about their effort after this one. Lindenwood's HC reminds me of the Foster character on SuperTroopers. Good stuff.

Perhaps we are to UW what Lindenwood is to us therefore I will predict the same score as I did for UW game..conversly..EWU 45 vs Lindenwood 12
 
56-13 Eags! Eric Barriere will lead his team, Custer will prove he’s the guy at RB, Merritt will prove he’s worthy of being the starter at RB and the Eagle defense will prove it got off to a slow start again Washington.

Best did mention the team needed to maturation to take place this season, and here’s their opportunity! GoEags!

What happened to Burkett?
 
Caught a little of the MSU v TT this morning. This was not the TT Eastern faced in 2017. The funny thing was Troy Anderson lined up at several positions even though MSU is flush with good players. MSU looks good, just have to wonder about Choate's choices.

Also, re-watched first half of Eags v UW. Won't go into all the details, but as mentioned by several on other threads, the offense threw 80% of the passes within 5 yds of the line of scrimmage. If Shoemaker calls it like this again, I stand by my prediction of 35 points. Big boy football now.
 
I couldn't even begin to predict this game, simply because I have no idea what Lindenwood likes to do.

I youtubed a couple of their games last year, and it looks like a base 4-3 defense, and a 4-2 nickel that they use a good bit. Offensively (hard to tell from game clips), I saw a lot of 4 wide sets with single backs. I didn't see a tight end in formation all that often. Again, this is from an extremely limited sample of plays.

Feeling that Dopa. Knew a lot about CWU last year and nothing about Lindenwood except that they still have baseball and wrestling programs. They put their playbook out on twitter...

Great job, kicker! That's good stuff.

Lindenwood actually has a pretty nice football facility... they're just another D2 with a better stadium than us, although their press box is a pile of shit.

I'd have to assume anyone watching the UW film is going to be sending a lot of receivers on routes and forcing us to pick them up in our zone. We didn't do a good job tracking receivers last week.
 
Just going to say, Eags shut it down after taking a 31 point lead (per my comments on Shoemaker) and then had to leave starters in all the way to the end of the game because of letting up. Good on Lindenwood for making the effort and not giving up. killer instinct?
