 … No reason to wait...

Who is this team?

Will be at Jax St for this one and was excited to see a Natty contender beat up on a team with discipline problems. Now I'm not sure which is which.. Time to put down the press clippings and get to work.

Eags 24 - Jax St 17

I don't see a way in hell we keep them under 35 points. Defense has not been impressive at all. Ojoh and Moore desperately need to be playing against Jax State. Without them, I'd say we need to score on nearly every possession.

Chattanooga has kept them under 35 points so far today. Hopefully the Eags show up!

Some great predictions here. Seems the consensus is Eastern may be back to having to outgun opponents. Can't say that I am a fan of that. This team is youngish so hope to see some real improvement this week in a tough venue and road matchup. It will be "warm" at 90 degrees and expect the humidity to a little higher than it's been. It's good for the skin ;-)

No additional insights on Jax St. They have talent and as I've said in the past can be undisciplined. EB3 has done a good job so far of holding onto the ball which may be more difficult in the conditions. TO's probably determine the outcome and Eastern hasn't shown if they have a ball hawking nature this season as yet.

Another factor is Band Day. Yes, Band Day. There will be a full on volunteer band cavalcade performing for the Cocks fans and visitors so this could be a dynamic, raucous environment. Expect fun. We take band seriously here in the South.

Go Eags!

No Keith Moore yet. I'd like to see him getting some playing time to get into "game shape" before conference starts.

The question would be how many weeks are you willing to let go by before you just apply for a medical redshirt? If he isn't ready in the next couple of weeks, that seems like a likely result. I mean, he did get shot...

I'd love to see Boston and Pierce have solid games. I think this game's closer to a toss up. Eastern 38-35 on a fourth quarter FG. Leave Alabama with a win, and it's clear sailing for a while.
