This team can't stop the run, especially when the QB is the primary ball carrier. Without 3 TO's, I have NDSU as a 2 TD favorite at home. Expect EB3 to play well and not throw into double coverage ala the Natty a couple years ago. If Shoemaker can keep the rhythm without high risk redzone nonsense, the Eags will move the ball. Glad to see Limu-Jones on the 2 deep, thought he was hurt. If he and Tamarick have big days, Eags have a shot. Expect Criner, Mitchell and Kedrick to have good games on defense but they can't do it alone. Could use a dose of big plays and TO's for sure.
This game could have one of three outcomes:
Eags 17 - DVU 38
Eags 38 - DVU 41
Eags 27 - DVU 24 (with a late missed FG)
OT - Coin Flip (OK that's 4 possibilities)
Here's what I do know, personally glad our players get to play one more game. Heartened to know they overcame some adversity to get there and that a lot of the young players have seen significant time on the field and they likely don't know what they don't know. Eastern won't stop DVU very often, but 3 TO's will give them a chance.
Go Eags!
