PREDICTIONS For ISU vs Eastern Washington

Starting this a little earlier than normal. I think people are more excited about this match up, and the fact that we're coming off a good win. I REALLY feel that we have meshed as a team, the defense is much improved, and that Sanders is ready to roll for the next year and a half.

Below are the thoughts I shared with the EWU forum.
I'm hoping for more of a 49-35... but didn't want to start anything with them. :-)
PLEASE POST A PREDICTION!!! (No one will laugh at you, we've mostly all been wrong) HAHAHA!

Hey EWU fans. ISU fan here. Your predictions surprise me, although I feel they are VERY realistic. I just thought you all might be blowing the spread out of perpective being that ISU has struggled to find its footing. So kudos to you ALL for being level headed and respecting us as your apponent.
As mentioned by one poster, I feel that you might be coming in to the Holt Arena (The Dome), at a time when our spirit that has been bottles up and or stifled, are ready to explode, and will have us playing better than expected. This of course comes at a time that EWU has had to come from behind on the last two games. So, no hard feelings, but as a true fan I must pick my team.
ISU 49 - EWU 42 upset.

It will be a very fun game I hope. If it's not, that means we fell off our momentum and you guys destroyed us. :-(
BTW, will any of you be in Pocatello for the game? I have family that's coming down from Spokane, and will be Tailgating with us, I'd love to invite anyone who might be there to come enjoy some food and mixed EWU-ISU company.

Up for the challenge, you don't seem to be "up for the challenge" lately. Lol. TOTALLY kidding man. Haha. I totally respect your prediction with the way we have played. (Other than. The first half of a Cal Poly and the North Dakota game) but I hope you're wrong, and I know you do too. :-)
 
I agree, I think this game will come down to who can force the most turnover. I think both defenses will have a hard time stopping each other. I think our pass coverage will struggle. We haven't faced a team that has passed first as an option. Sure we lead the conference is pass coverage but that is a bit skewed. Its also going to come down to who can win the third down battle. The team that has a higher percentage of converting will win. With that being said I am pulling for my boys. ISU 45 EWU 42. X runs for 150 and Sanders throws for 350. Go bengals! P.S. last week my prediction was pretty close. Hopefully it is the same this week.

Yesterday I talked with KW Williams, Jakori Ford, and Madison Mangum, and they all told me the football team feels great about today and are excited to be ranked again after today's win over #8 Eastern Washington!
...defense will step up and win the tip drill from the 75-80 passes thrown today. I'm changing my prediction....
49-31 ISU BENGALS!!!!
 
I won't predict a score, but bottom line: ISU's defense has to figure out how to get off the field, whether it's turnovers, third down stops, or red zone FG attempts vice TDs.

Go Bengals, a victory would be a huge lift!
 
I think the 2nd quarter will be the tale of the tape.

I am gonna say the first team to 21 will win, or the team that scores 4 times in 1 quarter.

Overall score 56-40 going to the team who meets my criteria.

If our defense makes the stops we need I expect a bigger spread, maybe 55-24 ISU

What's the point? So we can bitch about 1) getting owned on homecoming, 2) terrible special teams, 3) turnovers, and 4) Sanders going down?
