In my opinion, I think the Sky's final standings will be:

1. Montana
2. Weber
3. Montana State
4. Eastern Washington
5. Northern Arizona
6. Sacramento State
7. Northern Colorado
8. Portland State
9. Idaho State

Honestly, I think Montana is beatable, but its going to be really tough. The Grizz, in this poll, are #1 because of their past achievements, and since they are bringing back the second best team in the nation. No matter, they have to play some really tough road games (Eastern and at Steward Stadium). Weber, MSU, Eastern, and NAU each could vie for the conference crown. Weber, Eastern, and NAU offensively are very dangerous, while MSU will be bringing back one of the top defenses. MSU's defense wont be as good as last year, but an improving offense will be great for the Bobcats hopes of getting back to the playoffs and possibly of capturing a conference crown.

Sacramento State could be this years dark horse. The Hornets have assembled a fairly competent group, and could shock some people this season. The Hornets biggest problems the last few years, have been injuries and consistency. Right when you think they have turned the corner they lay an egg. This could be a chemistry, coaching, or the inexperience of the players, but I think the Hornets are headed in the right direction.

The next three each could pull of an upset or get some big W's this season. ISU, is the team with the most to gain. The only thing worse than back to back 1-10 seasons is if the Bengals lay an egg this year, which I don't see happening. I think the Bengals will be able to get, at least, one more win than the last couple of years. Like Sacramento, the Northern Colorado Bears could turn some heads this fall. The biggest difference between the Bears and the Hornets is depth. However, the Bears have a team that hits and plays hard, and could be the best defensively in the Sky. Portland State...hmmmm. Thankfully for the Vikings they have a couple of really talented offensive players, but right now that might not matter much. I believe the Vikings are rebuilding. Yet, they still have quite the bite. Teams have to wary of the Vikings.

Weber, well, the Cats need to stay healthy; especially the OL. Also, hopefully somebody shines on the DL this season. From Spring Ball it looked as if the Defense can hold their own, but most of the top offensive players were out. I wouldn't doubt for a second if Weber has a number of under-classmen shine this season, especially on the defensive side of the ball and at the RB and WR positions. There is a TE who is going to really wow fans this season.

My feeling is this; we have the talent to be BSC champs no doubt. D-Line is a huge question mark, but the team is getting 70 plus in workouts this summer which is pretty amazing. The pieces are there for a BSC championship and a deep run into the playoffs. It really depends on how the coaching shores up the inexperience in certain positions. I think with a lot of new blood on the D-line, the coaches will have to help them out e.i. BLITZ A LOT and disguise their blitz packages. I am very excited to see this offense in action in the fall. My prediction

1. Weber State
2. Don't care
3. " "
4. " "
5. " "
6. " "
7. " "
8. " "
9. Idaho State

Oh, yeah. I did hear about this TE, but I also heard there are actually two TE newcomers who did not participate in the spring but are working out in Ogden this summer. Apparently both guys are studs with one of the guys being solid NFL material. another reason to watch the O this year.

Can we get a name?

Potential and If seem to be the theme of the thread so far. Considering the losses at key positions and unproven replacements, maybe it would be wise to set expecations more towards 4th or 5th place. I bet that's roughly where the coaches and media will have us.
