It's about as early as it could possibly be, but let's look at what we've got coming back and where we need help this offseason...

First off, who we know we're losing...

McLeod Bethel-Thompson, Brett Willis, Ronald Richardson, Matt Larson, Jay Reddic, Dana Willis, Nate Jones, Buck, Jarred Pereira, Diniz, Jaren Harrell, Matt Carter, Dylan Lane and Christian Clark

2011 Returners...

WR Morris Norrise/John Henderschott
WR Chase Deadder/Chris Broadnax
WR Brandyn Reed/David Black
LT Derek Stickney/Nate Devan (Either one of these Soph. beasts ready to step up?)
LG Clay DePauw
C John Taylor (Does Talyor return to Center?)
RG Tyler Worthley
RT Nate Doverspike
TE Reese Heaslet
QB Jeff Fleming/Tommy Edwards/Garrett Safron
RB Bryan Hilliard/Jake Croxdale/Sam McCowan (This should be a point of emphasis for Sperbeck in the offseason... NO MORE UW RBs!!!)

DE David Coleman/Marques White
NT Matt Lawrence
DT Matt Agaiava/Marcus Mullins
DT Zack Nash
WLB Avery White (Can he move back to LB from DE?)
MLB Jeff Badger
CB Kyle Monson (Does Monson keep his spot after getting burned, due to a lack of height, time after time?)
CB Osgaie Odiase
SS Deionte Gordon
FS Joe Larche
NB Evander Wilkins

You guys who saw more than I did may have other ideas, but IMO, the biggest loss is Diniz. It takes time to develop a good kicker.

Uh, Kadeezy, am I missing something in your list of returners?

Um, I don't think so... HAHAHAHAHA

Don't forget about the RB from Chaffey, Douglas. We were all licking our chops last year about how he was slicing and dicing defenses. If you look at Scout.com, there are 3 or 4 three star backs that are hecka fast and big if we can land one.

We should be picked top 3 in conference next year.

Gamboa was better. The two clutch shots Diniz needed this year and he missed both; MSU in OT and extra point against UCFE.

Next.

We also have Ben Cowger coming in at DE, Todd Davis who played at lot this year at DE as well as Randy Peterson and Josiah Marshall at LB. Stickney and Devonte Martin could both make an impact next year on the OL. In the middle of the D line we have William Fukofuka at 6'3" and 290.

In my opinion Diniz was better than Gamboa on FG's, even though he didn't have the leg Gamboa did on kickoffs. Even though the 2 that Chris missed were painful, Gamboa missed more FG's. We have Jason Diniz coming in next year and after watching him in spring ball, I think we're good for the next 4 years.

The coaches did a tremendous job this year, especially with the defense giving up only 23 points per game and 331 yards per game in conference. That's a huge improvement. My main concern is in the defensive backfield. Zack was a cornerstone back there and it will be hard to replace him, even with Gordon returning. Can't wait for next year.

I think Diniz little brother was a freshman this year and is also a kicker. Not sure how good he is, but we have him available.

Did he redshirt?

Feel free to copy, paste, and modify guys!

SuperHornet, I'm not sure who you're talking about? :D

SD, I think Diniz 2.0 will have 4 years after a RS, yeah. How funny will it be for our opponents in 2014 saying "HOLY CRAP, this Diniz guy seems like he's be the SAC kicker for a decade!"... LOL
