The Raiders just mass-announced 14 UDFA signings, and Safron's not there. There's a guy from EWU and another from Del State, but no Hornets. The only QB on their UDFA list is Reno's Cody Fajardo.

What happened to Safron? His Twitter account acknowledges signing with the Raiders and has a congratulatory tweet from Jeff Garcia, but if he's signed with the Raiders, why are they not acknowledging him?

OK...still no official acknowledgment from the Raiders, but Safron DID take part in a mini-camp yesterday with Fajardo. Safron has apparently been assigned #5.

I can't get the pic to upload. It's somehow bumping against the artificial limit of 640 pixels in width, but it's biggest dimension is only something like 450 pixels. I'm not sure what gives. I'll just link it as a URL....

Now I'm hearing (not official, mind you, just a response on the Hornet FB page) that Safron never signed; he's a non-roster invitee.

That's kinda chicken-[bleep], if you ask me. If a guy is going to give his time to your business, you should pay him. I already knew the 49ers were a no-class organization; I had no idea the Raiders were the same way....
