PSU and Portland U.

PSU dominated UP tonight, 64-49. Defense was for a pleasant change the key, with UP shooting 29% for the game. PSU shot an impressive 43 %. A marker for the game --- Brock not only started the game, she played for 30 minutes, with 13 points and 5 rebounds. Is this a first?! May it happen again. Allie was great. And VanBrocklin was back on point, with 20 points (5-9 from the field, 3-3 three pointers, 7-8 free throws - and 7 assists!). Misa didn't play. Injury? Rivard (34 minutes, 11 points, 3 steals, 8 rebounds) and Brock pretty much gave us the game. On to Gonzaga!

Good for Brock, is Misa injured or is the coach doing her typical lineup shuffle all through the season??? Will be good to see PSU against a proven team, don't think we really have yet. Oregon, Butler, Portland, all played with young and/or depleted teams. On to Gonzaga :-)

Gonzaga has tall and experienced players, beat USC, Wisconsin, and a few others. Only losses to Stanford and Louisville. I'd say we're solid underdogs! We're going to need Misa, if there's any choice.
