PSU part Deux

My thoughts:
1. We seem to be leveled off in terms of injuries, so should be ale to play the kind of defense and rotation as in past games.
2. The EWU game was a good gut-check for road games, and should be a confidence builder.
3. It's a home game, a plus for the Cats

It seems PSU has given up on the season, I saw this post on PSU's fan board about Geving's post game quotes in the Oregonian after thier home loss to Idaho State.

“As coaches, you take a lot of blame, but I’m not taking the blame on this one,” PSU coach Tyler Geving said. “For the last month, I’ve been screaming and yelling at these guys, ‘Bring energy to practice! Be ready to go.’ And they don’t do it, and that’s what they get.

“They need to look in the mirror and they need to be responsible for their actions, because this had nothing to do with Xs and Os or anything like that. We’ve done it five or six times. We come out and we think we’ve got it made and we’re just going to win easy, and we don’t bring any energy.”

I think Weber will destroy Portland State tomorrow. Weber wins by no less than 15

on a side note, I am really upset about our last 2 home games being on a Wednesday, weekday games hurt attendance, and to make it worse the EWU game starts at 8pm.

On another side note, does anybody know if Lillard travels with the team to road games?

Damian is a team captain and certainly a team leader. He wants to be there with the team where ever they go, and the coaches and other players want him there as well. He is contributing to the team even if he can't play.

As for the game with PSU, They will be excited to be here, playing the best in the league, early on. It will be important to jump on them early. If we do, it will be a huge blowout. If we don't, they may hang around a bit longer and make a reasonable game of it. I sort of expect the first thing. They have a physically tallented team. If they have the right mindset, they can play with anyone. I just don't think they have the mental toughness to play with the kind of intensity our guys have been bringing.

I may be there or I may not. I am getting over strep throat.

Dude that sucks, It might be better for you to stay in your warm house and root on the Cats while watching the computer. Strep is not fun, and its supposed to get cold tonight.

Anybody know what happened to the Cataldo kid PSU signed for 2010.
Did he Redshirt? injured? or no longer on the team?
If I remember right he was the 12th ranked Center in the country for the 2010 recruiting class.

I heard that Cataldo was way over rated coming out of HS. If he is not redshirting, he is probably at a JC. Those player ratings are highly suspect. A lot of the so called scouts base their grading on someonelses word and have never actually seen the player. The only honest rating you will se out there is 40. When you see that, it indicates that nobody has seen them and nobody tried to lie about them. Many times those 40s are better than the 90s. Some of the graders will wait to see who is talking to a player and then make a judgement based on that.
