Shocking, I know. They'll play the Ducks.

Not so shocking. PSU came clase to beating the Ducks this year. Bernard is a Pac-12 quality pitcher. Problem is we don't have more than 3-4 dependable hitters. We may well lose, but it won't because of the pitching.

If you're interested, the PSU/UO game is on today at 6pm on Live Stats. Go to the softball schedule and scroll down to the game.

Yeah, it's sad. But it was bound to happen sooner or later. Look on the bright side; Johnson, the freshman, held the Ducksd to 4 hits and one run over the next 6 1/2 innings. She's coming into her own. Next year with Johnson pitching well and Bernardand another hotshot freshman, we should take the first Big Sky tournament. As for Bernard, she pitched well-nigh every game and, as Echo-Haswk says, she put them in the playoffs. I suspect she'll do well against Mississippi State. Go Viks!

Frustrating. Eugene (or NCAA) isn't carrying the Live Stats for the BYU game and I can't get the audio.

BYU took us 2-0. So the season ends. Next season we'll be fine with the pitching, but we have to do better with batting, especially with Krogh and Holladay gone. We'll have to spend summer and fall in batting practice. But for all that, it was a great season.

Now for the doldrums of summer.
