PSU Status - Big Sky Season Half Over

I wasn't able to watch the PSU/UM game but I did see the PSU/MSU game.

I have a few questions...

1. Is something going on with the team? They didn't seem to look like the PSU bball team I'd had been watching earlier in the season.

2. Why didn't Dominguez start against MSU? I noticed he didn't even get in the game til the 9 minute mark in the first half and then only played 7 minutes.

I think UM will start losing again, they have 2 road wins all season (1 in conf) and have 4 of their final 6 games on the road.

Does anyone think the PSU/WSU game on Valentine's will decide who will host? I do realize anything can happen with 7 games left. Example: Last season ISU started out 5-2 and then lost 6 of their last 9 games. The season before that ISU started out 5-0 and then went on to lose 8 of their last 10.

Last year PSU started out 0-1 and then 2-2 and I thought there's no way they are gonna win the conference...

Unless Weber really loses form, I don't see anything changing. If PSU can win in Ogden, I'd be a lot more optimistic about their post-season prospects.

I wanted to chime, too. Is Dominguez hurt? I don't understand why he didn't start against us on Sunday, and even when he did play, he looked really off. This is clearly not the same PSU that beat Gonzaga and pounded the griz in Portland. I am sure you guys will probably get your revenge against us when we have to travel to Portland, but I was really surprised how off your team looked Sunday.

I have no idea what's wrong with the team but there seems to be very little cohesion right now. So much for the Waters comments about not losing again for the rest of the season...

I will say that I don't think PSU's problems stem from X's and O's. Rather, I think there is an attitude problem. Most teams excel when the best players are the most focused and hardest working. Something tells me that JD and Nelson, and to a lesser extent Waters, aren't getting it done in this regard.

Something is up, as this sure isn't the team we were watching a month ago. Between JD getting sat down for Waters in Missoula, then Waters and JD not starting due to missing curfew, something appears wrong.

We just can't mess with the hair! Coston shaves who knows what into his head, and we drop a home game to Weber State. JD lets the fro-hawk going and we go 0-2 in the State of Montana. Somebody take some clippers to that so we can get back to normal.

:-)
