Track plays a decidely backburner sport at PSU but its getting better. Up at Seattle today two more qualified for the Big Sky Tournament. That makes what? nine qualified? The story posted on goviks mentioned them, but failed to mention that Amirah Karim came through again, taking first with a long jump of 18'4", while Caressa Sims, who competed with us last year and graduated, took first in the weight throw up at Seattle, competing unattached. She threw the ball 61'11", good enough for the NCAA provisional. This is, mind you, against Oregon and UW. The women's team is forecast to place 7th in the Big Sky meet, but they're likely to do better. Let's hear it for track!
