PSU

Well they came up big in OT to overcome 20 turnovers and another last possession in regulation where Rahe had no play called but just had Harding dribble it out and try for the best against a triple team.

Still a very big win! Now they just need to take care of the ball, play tougher on D, and play inspired at home.

Tied for first in the league with the uneven play isn't a bad place to be. Weber has the most well-rounded starting five in the league. I expect to the game in Missoula on 1/26 to be a battle for first. I don't think the Wildcats should have trouble with UNC---the Golden Bears have two players hitting shots at all (Davis and Hume). Those two have to combine for around 45-50 for UNC to compete with Montana or Weber---vs. Montana they only combined for 35, the rest of the team just isn't that strong. That is provided the Wildcats that lost to SUU aren't in the building.

Had we lost I guess I might grouse about something, but honestly it was a pretty fun game even with the numerous TOs. PSU hung with us both times last year and I knew it was going to be tough going in.

Chapman gets the doghouse treatment in the first half and man did he respond in the second. That's the player I swear he can be. That was his best shooting in a long time and it was nice to see him post and make some moves off the block. He's quick enough to destroy guys with his back to the basket (and he passes well out of it), but we've rarely seen it.

Coach Rahe really used his lineup efficiently with a lot of guys being comfortable with the frantic flow of the game. Statistically it wasn't a huge game for Doc, but I thought he played really well. And with Chapman on the bench Kozak finally looked comfortable. But my game ball goes to John. Really steady game, didn't force shots, a few too many TO's, but lockdown defense when they finally put him on Woods at the end of the game.

Griz come back with a vengeance. This league is up for grabs.

Nice win on the road by the Cats. The Vikings have a crap ton of potential and if they put it all together could become a really good team. But a win on the road is a win on the road. 3-0 so far this season for the Cats. Imagine if Weber could cut the TOs? It has definitely been interesting watching the ball handling this season. Hoping for two wins this weekend.
