Going into Jerry's 3rd season as head coach, how does everyone feel about PSU's all black look? Do you like it? Or should we return to the old Viking logo and colors?

I like it less and less. Let's get some green back in there.
Give me some forestgreen on those uni's! Home uniforms are nice, but the road uniforms desperately need a splash of green. The helmets are unique, but a "PSU" or "Viks" on at least one side of the helmet would be better, in my opinion.

I'm a traditionalist. I want forest green. I'd also like an emblem on the side of the helmet like the viking to the right.

Interesting post on the O-Live board..........don't put to much into it....but none the less.......interesting color scheme.

While I like Jerry's idea of hyping up the program by bringing in a new look, I think we need to return to the old color scheme. I'm sorry, JMHO, the spear and the all black look just isn't PSU.
I think we should return the Viking logo back to the helmet and make the basis of our team colors forestgreen.

I really thought we looked sharp the year prior to JG arriving. Some don't care much for the swooshy little horned thing that was on the side of the helmets, but it grew on me, and I'd started to like it. Anything was better than that creepy 'V' that we had years ago.
Now keep me honest here, but I seem to recall a story in the past year or so where it was stated that we get a refresh every three years from Nike that supplies the football uniforms for us. It may have been that story about the guys who set up for practices/games and the compliance guy who is in charge of making sure that we have our proper swooshes displayed at all times on the practice field. Anyone recall that? It was about the time that the men's basketball team was being outfitted with new uniforms. If that was/is true, this would be our last year with the all black, unless they elect to keep these, which I doubt.

My main complaint is the awkward "halo" around the shoulder and neck area on the road unis.
