PSU's Roster looks like PSCC

Have you looked at PSU's team lately? They are almost 100% JC. They are not even highly regarded JC players. They had a good recruit in Armani Collins, but he has left the team. Looks to me like they are scrambling to pick up whatever leftovers they can. It could be a long year for PSU, or should we start calling them PSCC?

It's going to be a ferocious fight for the bottom.

Tucker and Robinson are proven nice BSC players, JUCO Canda had offers from Ball st, Montana and Hawaii, Juco North was a Scout 3 star recruit who signed with Long Beach St before juco Farris averaged 10pts and 5 rebounds for D1 Incarnate Word as a freshman ...Parsons is strong and very athletic and could be a tough BSC player this season.... Team Chemistry is a concern more so than talent

I'm not saying that there isn't talent there. There are some very talented players in the JC ranks. However, there are also a lot of players with a lot of baggage. Sometimes you get lucky and find guys who can stow their baggage for a couple of years and become major contributors. I just think it is not wise to have that high a percentage of juco kids on your team. Some of that baggage is going to fall on your head during the season. PSU has been using that model for a while now and they have had more bad years than good. MSU was doing a little of this, but not to the extent of PSU. Almost all teams get a JC now and then. However, to build any sort of consistency in your program, you need 4 and 5 year guys. Also, it is the rare JC guy who helps much in their first year. It often takes them a year to acclimate. :coffee:
