Since the really poor punting in the Husky game I've wondered what does a punter DO all day? School has not even started yet and this the best you can do? Do we have a coach for kickers or are they just self taught?
Maybe Rondan would act as grad asst.

clawman, seen them in warmups and at half time and apparently we didn't recruit one or if we did whoever was doing the recruiting either lost a commit or wasn't a prioity. Mechanics simply not there and they are small. That's why we're seeing rugby punts and hope and line drives (and now blocks). Andre Slyter is one of three listed. Heath Pulveris the Tight Ends/Special Teams Coordinator. Guess we don't have a special teams coach...coordinator? We live with it.

My points were if he wants to be successful he has plenty of time to practice, if he is not getting coaching how can he succeed?

I get your point. There are four punters listed (I mispoke earlier saying three) and my guess is they do practice and practice and practice. I don't know if they are getting coaching from the special teams coordinator or better yet anyone who knows how to punt. Hopefully they recruited punters who were good punters but having hard time adjusting to D1 football. I'm sure they are doing their best and do wish them the best.

Cannot understand how we cannot find someone on the team that can punt a football. Really a liability in my opinion.

Well the good news is we DON'T have the lowest punting average in the nation..79th out of 87. https://www.ncaa.com/stats/football/fcs/current/individual/17
A while back didn't we have open campus tryouts for walk on players.

We need to look for a punter or coach up what we have.
