Ok, so Im here to report on what I saw last night at the game. It was the best attended one I have been too, probably because Dame was there. It was dang cool to see Dame come out. He had a entourage. LOL. Pretty sweet I thought. Anyway, back to the game. This was my hardest to predict rotations and starters, because this is the deepest team I have seen. I believe we can go 9-10 deep and still be good. The game was very intense and competitve for just a scrimige. Coach Rahe was yelling at the players and really getting into it. Coach Rahe RULES!!!!!! The best 2 players last night hands down were Bamforth and Berry. Bam looked confident and smooth in all aspects. I would say he is our best leader too. Berry is really THAT GOOD!!!!!!!!!! His shot is fast and he hits nothing but net. He is a great passer too. His ally oop pass dunk to Bolomboy was awesome. I thought Wheelright had a little off day, but he looks bigger and stonger and played better at the end. Richardson was solid and will be a good roll player for us. I liked watching Tres and Hajek battle it out. Its pretty close with those two. I thought they both looked good. We have by far the best bigs in the conference. Its not even close. Otis and Fulton look about the same. I mean that in a good way. We are just so deep and competitive its hard to gauge who did better. Fulton has a sweet new tatoo. ha ha. Hill and Bolomboy are athletic freaks. If they both can devolope a better offensive game over the next 2 years. Holy crap the conference is in deep doo doo. Bolomboy is already our best post defensive player. He was all over the place. I would love to see them red shirt Hill. He is good enough to play right away, but if he could refine his shooting skills and some post moves, then hot damn he will be a MVP type player by the time he is a JR. Out of the the JC guys, I thought Bradford was the best. He had a few turnovers and Coach Rahe was really in his ear, but he looks smooth and confident out there. I think he might end up being our first guard off the best ahead of Richardson. Williams did ok. He stuggled a little but he might get a few minutes and Duce looks a little lost, but he is not bad. Again, we just have lots of talent and depth its going to be tough for those 2 guys to get many minutes. I hope Zaid can red shirt. None of the walk ons even played. So, here is my guess as to who starts and who will be our main bench players and red shirts.
Starters will be Wheelright, Bamforth, Berry, Otis and Tresnak then the first bench players will be Fulton Bradford, Hajek and Bolomboy. RIchardson will play quite a bit too. I hope they redshirt Hill and Zaid and Williams will get mop up minutes. We are legit 10 players deep and 11 with Williams. I dare any team in the conference to beat that kind of depth. I cant wait to see how it all unfolds. Going to be a great season.
