anyone have any comments on Saturday's game? :thumb:

I didnt go to it, but from what I read it seems the defense had a lot of emotion and energy in the scrimmage, the offense not so much. That needs to change.

It's great to hear that our D has a lot of energy, sounds like they are ready to play some football. Probably fueled by the 4 interceptions the offense threw.

Offensive side of the ball seemed lackluster, Adamczyk completed 19-of-31 passes for 202 yards and a pair of touchdowns with two interceptions, while freshman quarterback Tyler Parson was 5-of-12 for 44 yards and two more TDs.

Senior running back C.J. Tuckett broke off a 55-yard run while rushing 11 times for a team-high 95 yards. Junior Josh Booker had 15 carries for 89 yards and a 6-yard touchdown, while Barrinton Collins carried the ball eight times for 44 yards.

Looks like our offense is going to have a lot of fun this summer to get ready for Fresno.

heard that the Dline did good, was in the backfield a lot. gotta improve gap control on some plays, but pursuit was good, guys flying around the ball, and QB's getting pushed out of the pocket. everyone got some good reps, so the coaches know what they have.

O will have some work in the summer, but they got the ingredients to cook something good..............

Offense looked lethargic, disorganized, and totally out of sync. The defense on the other hand looked solid. The nice thing is that Hoke and Maraz were both out and there are a couple of OL that weren't available who will be available next fall. Bad thing, according to Coach Smith, the team doesn't have a reciever who can go the distance, we need a solid TE who can receive and block (Janny might end up playing FB if John L. can't find one this spring), and last but not least, the offense needs a FB. John L wasn't impressed by our QBs, but did like our RBs.

On the defensive side, he feels the team needs some better play from the LBs and the secondary, but was really impressed with the line.

One thing that is really nice is that he expects a lot more from the team.

I was there for the whole thing. I agree with what has been said about the D. The problem with the offense was that the O line has no depth and looked to be a little banged up. Our running backs and recievers are good. I don't think that QB will be an issue in the fall. I'm a little woried about the O line. However, it seems like we are always a little woried about the O line at this time of the year. :?

I know the OL is banged up, they have the NG at OG now, and Cosgrove went from DE to FB, Timoteo was in Hawaii for a funeral, and a lot of banged up guys.

LB"s need a better grasp of their assignments, secondary was suspect at times. D line did a good job, anytime you can get consistent penetration, good things happen...wait, that didn't come out right, i'm talking football you know...hahahahhahaha

lots of work this summer, but it has the potential...I said potential....to be a very solid year :)
