I'm going with our chances are "great" against Idaho St. and that our chances against UW are, well, less than that. Let's face it, we're solid underdogs but that's not scared any of our boys before. If we execute, play near flawless football, we can win. We've proven that. It won't be easy...nwray1 said:Well, I'm assuming Miles won the starter competition so he'll be the QB. May be a good thing for us, however, as this will be his first game of the season....possibly a few jitters for the young man. I think our chances this year are great against the Huskies!
So, if we pull off the upset, EWU will be the only FCS team to have ever beaten two ranked FBS opponents. Nice!!ewusigep252 said:FYI, the Huskies are in the preseason coaches' poll at #25. If they can get through Hawaii, we will be playing a ranked Pac-12 team for the second season in a row.

The memory of the loss there 3 seasons ago is still fresh as is the desire to show the West Side we're still for real. There's nothing special about this UW team that makes them unbeatable If we can manage the turnovers, I think our improved depth will lead us to a win in Seattle. First things first, let's take care of these Bearkats (finally) and Keeler (again). The world will be watching.

It sort of mirrors the Bruggman situation in Pullman; they thought they recruited a superstar, but found out in camp that they had walk-ons that were better.
I'd be happy if our DL laid any big hits on whichever QB they have back there. Phil Steele has both UW's OL and DL as top 15 nationally. We will need to rely on our rotation and getting creative to get pressure on them.Rjones61 said:LDopaPDX said:I heard some talk out of the UW camp that their staff is really unhappy with Miles' development and they suspect he won't start in 2014. This would be a very big disappointment to our D-line who are looking forward to laying big hits on Mr. Miles.
