I understand Joel Hancock has left the FB team because of family and MCAT Prep. Because of this, I got thinking - does anyone know what QBs are in line? I know Mac recruited a QB this year, and I know we have Hoke, along with the Adamcyck (sp) kid. Will the Wildcats have anyone else (RMs) coming in to the program for the QB position? What is his name? Is he going to be a good one? Will there be any other kids returning from missions that have been recruited to play other positions? :coffee:
 
Weber signed Breck Lewis from Spanish Fork in 2009, the same year they signed Adamczyk. He went on a mission, but I don't know what his status is. He was a pretty good recruit coming out of high school.

Checked out ESPN they were pretty high on him - 3-star, #54 out of about 170 qbs they rated. Kinduv interesting that there were only 4 other FCS qbs in the top 100 qb signees - SFA #48, Nova #71, Delaware #78 and UMass #95. Anyone know if this kid had any BCS offers?

I think Weber was the only offer he had. Going into his Senior season he was rated as the #2 QB in AZ, just behind one of the top recruited QBs in the nation. But his high school team wasn't very good and that hurt him when it came to recruiting. Sounds like a great kid that didn't quit on his team or transfer to a school with a better team. Interesting side note: His older brother plays at UC Davis.

Thanks for the info. ! I knew a little bit about the new recruit from AZ and I watched his film. I remember seeing this Lewis kid on the game of the week when Spanish Fork played Jordon in a state playoff game.It looked as if Lewis was quite the playmaker. I think he threw for 4 or 5 TDS.

They already made him switch to WR last year. I believe he caught a 2-point conversion last year? Pre-med students and college athletics don't mix. Coaches don't like it and it requires too much book-studying when film needs to be watched.
 
Anyone know whether Breck Lewis is expected back this year? The team really only has two QBs on the roster now, with TE Jarrick Tilby serving as 3rd string.
 
Ben Maraz will be in camp this August and Lewis should be back from his mission sometime this summer.

As for Tilby, its nice knowing that Weber has a guy who can do a number of different things.
