I was able to watch most of all four of these games and enjoyed seeing some quality football by the best of 2019.

MSU takes care of Austin Peay without much difficultly 24-10. This makes SAC's meltdown to APU a bit more perplexing. SAC looked really strong with the exception of vs Weber and vs APU.

NDSU gets past Illinois St. 9-3. The Redbirds played a hard-fought game with a great defensive effort. ISU really should have won this. A NDSU backward pass hits the ground and is picked up by ISU and immediately whistled an incomplete pass and was a certain TD on the fumble recovery. The commentators showed clearly on the replay it was a backwards pass but said there's no review like in the NFL. Huh? I don't understand why this couldn't be and wasn't reviewed. It most likely would have only resulted in a FG if overturned on a review but if it would have been called correctly in the first place there's a real good chance ISU upsets the dynasty 10-9. Knowing how MSU has improved over the season and how they destroyed UM a few weeks ago, it makes me believe they have a good shot at NDSU. Go Bobs!

Weber's redemption vs UM 17-10 has got to be about the best Weber win ever! The defensive effort-- especially the 2nd half-- was one for the ages. 8-0 at home and a spot in the semi's-- both firsts-- is epic. I still don't believe this team is as talented as the past two seasons but they are resilient and do not quit and the youngsters combined with the winingest Senior class has taken this team further than ever! If they could only do better limiting the big play (usually passes) and had a more balanced and potent offense they would be a NDSU-like program.

JMU certainly didn't run away in their win over UNI 17-0 but in an effort not too dissimilar from some Weber efforts, UNI just didn't have enough offense to support a strong defensive effort. I think UNI got stronger-- like MSU-- over the season and since they played Weber. IMO it was a more talented Weber team that should have won in Harrisionburg in 2017 but I believe in this defense's ability to keep Weber in this game. They are going to have to figure out a way to get the defense off the field more, find a way to move the ball enough, and not dig a hole early. Go get 'em Wildcat's-- be greedy and take this special year to Frisco!
