Question of the Week 5/14/12

I'm gonna try something new here to drum up some conversation during this notoriously dead season known as "summer." I'll bring in a question each week, and we'll discuss it. I may rely on one of our leaders if my brain is working a bit slow on a Monday. There are no wrong answers here; we just want some conversation during a normally boring time of year.

Anyways, here goes:

Who will be the offensive and defensive leaders this year?

Jeff Badger springs to mind on defense but i cant think of who it could be on the offensive side. Too many new players.

Matt Lawrence. Kid is a stud, and players look to him not only on the field but in the weight room. Most heart on the team. Watch for a big year from him.

Good idea SH. Hopefully this can catch on. Good posts by everyone so far.

I’m going with LB Todd Davis as the defensive leader. He will be coming off of a breakthrough season and will be a favorite to lead the team in tackles in ’12.

As far as my pick for offensive leader, I’m going with wide receiver DeAndre Carter to have a breakout year. He showed glimpses of play making ability and with the offense moving to a hurry-up spread option, he should have more room and favorable matchups. Hopefully we will have someone capable of throwing the ball this season.

There are more than one. None of them have solidified themselves as leaders yet. We also have a couple new transfers coming in that will make an immediate impact in our program. Only time will tell.

Defense: it's a three way tie to me. Between Todd Davis, Jeff badger, and arguably the best DB we have had in a long time Osagie Odiase.

Offense: I don't know why everyone forgets about Morris Norris's production last year and Garret Saffron, I will leave one slot for a transfer, hopefully we will get production at the tailback position!
