Question re the Stott Center at PSU?

I may have asked this same question last year, but after watching last night's game at PSU, I have to ask again:

Is it acceptable to place a jumbotron on one end of an arena that is flashing game images while the event is going on? I noticed how bright the jumbo was and how the flashes of light showed all the way to the other end of the arena. Seems like it was operating mostly in the second half when Weber was shooting on that end.

I know PSU recycled this Jumbotron from their football stadium when they did an update; I just thought it was a real distraction for the team on that offensive end.

Anyone know if this is ok?

:yikes:

Jon at Big Sky Basketball Blog posted an article referencing this same issue with Stott Center jumbotron from a Montana columnist.

If Montana complains about it, something will be done. On the other hand, look what EWU did with their football field, and nothing has been done.

Hell it was annoying on big sky tv, and if it was bad through an Internet feed just imagine being there. PSU needs to take the board down. Pretty dumb idea by the Vikings.
