Assuming we beat MSU tonight, I would like to hear opinions about what Im about to ask.

Who do we as Weber State fans want to win between UM and NAU?

For those who think Weber has a shot at 1st or 2nd the obvious choice is NAU, considering we still get NAU at home.

But for those who think a 3rd place finish is more realistic wouldnt we want Montana to win?

Thoughts?

I like UNCs team and staff better than UM. However, I think I'd rather play at UM. It is just soooooo much sweeter beating them on their own floor:-)

I want NAU to most definetly win tonight! I want Montana to lose at least one more game then we do. With Cherry out for a while, now could be our time to gain some ground on the standings. If first place is not obtainable, I sure want tha 2nd place finish. And if it comes down to us and NAU tied for third, hopefully we beat them and own the tie-breaker. If either UNC or UM were to host, I like our chnaces better at UNC neutral court. I want a WSU and NAU win tonight!!

It is posible for WSU to host. We must win out. Montana is self destructing. Maybe UNC will trip up afew times in the road. Anything is posible now. Every game is critical.

Ok. So we now have a debate. With the remaining games, I think that we can honestly win out. Now, looking over the schedule for the Sky, UNC has three games that they could lose two or three of them. They have the Montana road trip and NAU at home. UM has UNC and some other bottom teams. So this is my dream scenario; we win out, UM loses to UNC. And then UNC loses at MSU and loses at home to NAU. If that happnens, WSU, UM and UNC all end with 4 losses. We have split with UNC and UM, the next place team will be NAU, which if we win out, we own the tie-breaker and end up hosting. Basically it would be a three way tie for first place. Has that ever happened before? It would also be nice if UM and UNC losses maybe another road game against the bottom teams. I like where we are sitting right now!

yes. only once.

1975-76: Tri champs - WSU, Idaho State and Boise State

We hosted the tournament in a packed Swenson Gym and this was the last game we ever played there before the Dee opened. We lost to Boise in double over time.

Ok here we go again...

first of all, Weber winning at EWU is all that matters,

but having said that, its time to ask the question again.

Who do we want to win between UM and UNC? for those who want a second place or even a first place finish the obvious choice is the Grizzlies, If UM can beat UNC that would give them both 3 losses.

For those who would see a 3rd place finish more realistic and would like to see an extra home game (like myself), who would really care who won that game?

well?

We want the highest seed possible for the tournament even if that means we can not get another home game. 2nd place is still better than 3rd. One step closer to the championship game. :thumb: We need Griz to win. If Griz lose then it decreases our odds to have a chance as champs. We somehow have 3 way champions and we just might be hosting if Griz win tonight.

Definately pulling for the Griz.... I agree with graygoose.

If there is a 3 way tie....We would definately host as long as NAU stays in 4th..... I'll be pulling for the Jacks tonight @ ISU, and obviously in Greeley....

I agree with graygoose and skeeter...Go GRIZ!! Also, because I think GoBears is a tool.

Anyway, if Weber can't win the Sky, then I'm hoping the Cats can get 2nd. I think that means that Weber will automatically qualify fot he CIT tournament. Its not very glamorous, but at least its still post-season play, and most importantly, additional games that will ensure Lillard gets his year back.

I don't think that post season games count toward a total for Lillards deal. However, any post season play is better than none. I think we still have good chance of going to the dance.

All games, except for exhibition games, qualify for the amount of games towards one's season. that means the more games we play once the season is over gives us a better chance of getting Lillard back.
