Kyle Whittingham - $1.78 million
Stewart Morrill - $472,030.04
Randy Rahe - $283,056.31

I remember talking with President Milner right after Rahe was hired, inquiring if he would be making 6 figures. Her response was that no coaches in the Big Sky (at that time) were making 6 figures.
So it looks like Randy has gotten a few raises. Probably a good part of why he is still here.

I have heard rumor that some members of the community pledge money that goes to coaches salary each year. Is that money included in this figure?

I'm pretty sure it isn't added in. This is purely state money being used. This also includes any benefits that an employee might have. Donations, bonuses, and any extra isn't added.

That figure would include any such contributions. NCAA rules prohibit boosters from directly supplementing coach salaries, except in very limited circumstances.

Leave it to the Trib to screw this up. They have updated the story to say "highest paid higher education employee." And they did leave LK off the original list, along with several U of U professors who make over $1 million. According to the article (which probably can't be relied on to be accurate), LK makes $1,087,430.

Wow, the SL Trib really blew this one. Now the article simply says Rahe is the highest paid at Weber. He isn't even close to being 3rd highest paid in higher ed in Utah. Plus, the figure cited in the article is only about $100,000 off the figure from the search engine they provide along with the article. According to that search engine, Rahe is making $352K. Did anyone check that article before it was published????

Yeah, the Trib blew this one bigtime. There are DOZENS of U of U employees that make more than Randy Rahe. Go to UtahsRight.com and you can look at the full list of them. :ohno:

HAHAHAHA!! The Trib is run by a bunch of U of U grads. No wonder they screwed this sooo badly. Blanket Academia!! Well, they might have the most high paid higher ed officials, but SUB PAR education. I'd much rather have a Weber State or for that matter a UVU education than a Utah education.
