Did any of you catch the Randy Moss 30 for 30 last night? They showed some footage of him shredding Montana while at Marshall. It was nice.

He shredded everybody he played against at the 1AA & 1A level. It was really a shame that he along with the Florida drop down Qb kept us from winning back to back national titles.

Wasn't there like a string of three Youngstown State v. Marshall title games? Wasn't it Montana that finally broke through to end that spell?

On the same note... EAGLE TRIVIA time... Only two teams have posted wins against Beau Baldwin in the month of November during his tenure. Without looking it up (cheaters), can anyone name those two teams?

The last and most recent one should be fairly easy, the first one is a bit shocking.

Gotta be SFA in 2009 and maybe weber?

SFA is the obvious one, because that was in the playoffs in 2009. I remember late in the season we basically had no healthy LB's and our defense couldn't stop anything. Pretty sure we had to beat NAU in a shootout in Flagstaff to even make the playoffs that year.

The other one is Sac State in Baldwin's first year - I remember because it cost us a potential playoff bid that year. Well, that, along with playing two Big XII teams (and no I didn't look it up). :thumb:

We really had a good team that year, but inexplicably lost to PSU in Portland and Suck State at home. :|

I believe it was in October. Now I need to look and see if my memory is serving me correctly...

serious question, didn't Kauffman break most of Mosses records?

No... Kaufman broke Jerry Rice's record for total yardage.

And yes, Sac State and SFA are the correct answers. 2008b was a weird year; our secondary got annihilated by Portland State. They set a Big Sky record for passing yards in a single game (which I think has since been broken).

2009 was strange, too. We gave up 700+ total yards in a last-game win against NAU, only to watch them turn it over 4 times and lose it. We then played like absolute ass against Stephen F. Austin and lost to a bad team. Montana beat them by 50 and shut them out the following weekend.

Kaufman still holds the record for single season yardage at 1,850 in 2012. He simply dominated everyone that year on a level the conference has never seen by a WR, before or since.

Ha, I was at that game, it was a man against boys. Anytime Marshal wanted to score, send Moss on a fly pattern and TD, no contest.
