It's too bad, last year was fun with the conference ranked 17th in the nation. This year looks like a reversion to "Montana and the 10 Dwarfs." But hey, even Kentucky lost by 34 points last night. :-DSWeberCat02 said:Great night of Big Sky basketball last night. Looks like we're back to being the Big Suck again. Six D1 games and Weber's 17 point loss was the closest game of the night. Other losses were by 41, 27, 32, 30, and 18, for an average of 27.5 on the night. Montana St even lost at home to Utah St by 30. And we've already had a conference team lose their exhibition game. Here's hoping the football season lasts deep into December.

It basically verifies that Johnson and Fuller are redshirting because there were plenty of bodies on the bench to go in and play. Both are highly capable of playing good minutes, even in a system that doesn't value their particular skillset. Randy has basically told those two, after recruiting them, that they aren't good enough. Not a surprise, he does it every year, and one or both will likely transfer and not stick around in a system that doesn't value them. Sucks for them, but that's the reality of Randy's way of doing "business."

Dee, I've only been able to watch Johnson at the scrimmage a couple of weeks ago, and frankly, he looked as good as anyone else on the floor. I'm not sure what Rahe wants to see from him, but as a freshman who hasn't played in three years, I thought he was as good as any of the other freshmen who played 25+ mins last night. If I were him, I'd take this as a challenge and man up. Take it personally and show him how wrong he is. Randy rewards guys who outwork and out tough the other players. This group of guys aren't really a team. So, who cares if he ticks off another player. As for Fuller, I think it is wise he is red shirting anyway. Randy needs a big freshman next Fall after he loses two this spring.

You're right, we should all be used to this crap by now. Have fun watching Bethesda. BTW, it's Nurses Appreciation Night. Nothing says appreciation like giving you the opportunity to pay $7 to watch a lousy game against some school you've never heard of.

Sadly, for the first time since I was on a mission, I will not be at the home opener tomorrow. I'm not going to watch an NCAA DI team play a duft financial assistance school, playing in, I believe, their first collegiate game, from the NCCAA (National Christian College Athletic Association). I'm totally happy for Bethesda and their team and hope they do well in this new venture, but I'm totally sick of this crap. We play a DII school in an exhibition, but this for our home opener? They aren't even NAIA DII, but NCCAA. We have one of the best DI winning percentages and we are playing Bethesda?
