Eastern doesn't have a thread for beating Montana?

It was a problematic game for the last 30 minutes, but the first 10 were as good as it gets. Montana is ridiculously good from the free throw line. And Davison played all of about 2 minutes. I have a feeling the line-up will look quite a bit different on Saturday.

Holly smokes right outta the gate! Best half of basketball I've seen in some time..what a treat. As far as a lineup is concerned it's crazy the different combo's EWU can put out on the court.

I find it interesting how EWU's Shantay Legans and staff develops players, e.g., Tanner Groves, Michael Meadows, Kim Aiken,. While UM coach Travis DeCuire can't keep multiple transfers from leaving mid season.

This is going to be a very interesting off season for many schools when it comes to the transfers with everyone pretty much getting a free year. If everyone stays that is currently starting or one of the first off the bench it would be hard to argue potentially waiting another year to have your opportunity to play if you are one of the deep bench guys.
I get competing and winning your spot in practice. But if your team is cruzing like EWU has been why mess with it as a coach. We have had our share of transfers in and out over the years. The great thing like you pointed out is that we are creating a culture here.

This is very honest take on transfers and the state of his program and college hoops from Montana's coach.

DeCluire makes some very good points and this is a frank assessment. What's funny is that society has spent a lot of time talking about the value of equitable outcomes even if it means suspending universal justice in the name of social justice. While I largely don't agree with the premise that universal justice is wrong because it creates unequal outcomes, the general trend has been a movement towards social justice in it's place.

Yet in the college sports world, every rule change is geared towards making sure the best have the most at their disposal while the rest have to just fight for their own existence. If anything, justice is being skewed to make sure the rules are different on the top end than on the middle or lower tiers. The argument is less parity is better, and unequitable outcomes are best for business.
