Replace silver for blue in color scheme

We look too, too much like the Oregon Ducks. That is really unfortunate and so we need some uniqueness. We both have green in the middle of our color scheme and, try as we might, we still end up looking like some kind of offshoot of theirs.

Correct me if I'm mistaken, but isn't one of our official colors silver? Then why are we using black? I suppose every university is entitled to supplement their official school colors with black the same way as with white. So why aren't we using the silver? You know who is, don't you? The Oregon Ducks! Oregon Ducks have taken our silver for their own color scheme augmentation. Unofficially, of course.

Officially, I think we would be wise to thus drop silver as we never really used it anyway. I think that second color should be blue, the right shade of blue as depicted in the color scheme for the foot traffic area outside the planned Viking Pavilion's basketball arena. https://www.pdx.edu/construction/si...0160609 PSU PSC + Viking Pavilion FINAL-4.jpg

Haven't I told my joke here enough times by now?

"Soon, Mr. Knight will own ALL the colors!"

Trying to avoid Oregon's shadow isn't going to help with any confusion when you're not being seen in the first place. Green isn't really the problem, and if you're trying to escape Oregon's shadow while they try to integrate the entire rainbow into their identity, the color is eventually going to be the black hole you get sucked into by failing to assert.

Having something Portlanders want to watch... that's the problem.

There are times when I want to agree with Alan; that what helped Pokey Allen back in the day was being at a level where Portland State could threaten to make the playoffs and often did. Yet you can see by how schools act that FCS and D-2 are kind of a purgatory, while D-3 takes the pressure off and FBS is the obvious bright light. Problem is, as Power 5 Conference schools have their budgets breaking away from everyone else at seemingly the speed of light, that option really isn't available to Portland State, and the G-5 are starting to get treated as if they were FCS.

There are those other times where I think PSU needs to call the whole thing off. There have been arrests this week. Rick Pitino got fired. There are people in power who want to tear everything apart for their own financial benefit. The athletic tide is about to get lower, folks.

So how is this on topic of replacing silver with blue?

Yes, blue would be cool. I like blue. But, I agree with you, school colors are not the problem. The problem is no one cares any more about Viking athletics. They did once, but not now. So what does PSU do?

Yes, "[t]he athletic tide is about to get lower," and we will not be unaffected.

Again, what does this have to do with the topic?

Geez, I never thought anyone would have to defend having an athletic program in a football fan forum. Let's throw this crap in to every thread out there so that there is no question about how you two feel.
