Rituals/Routines

So since it was mentioned in a thread today about things we do before the game was wondering if any of you have any cool ones.
Mine has been wearing my Roos jersey, long jons with jeans, and EWU Intramural hat backwards. (worked in 2010).
I modified that routine about four games ago with wearing my Roos jersey to work on Friday and then wearing my black EWU Military jersey, long jons, and EWU Intramural hat backwards.

GO EAGS!

I've worn the same carhart pants for every game for four straight seasons 2009-1012 - even when it was hot as hell in Pullman this year.
Go Eags!

I love me a good microbrew but only Busch light and shmireball (what we call fireball) on game days. Same t shirt every game day too

I only shave on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday during game weeks. If I have an important meeting on Tues or Thurs, I have to shave the previous evening. I must listen to "Red Dragon" by Swollen Members on my iPod at least once during game week. Although this hasn't always been lucky, I must stay seated during an entire Eastern possession, but I can get up during the opponents possession-- just not on 3rd down (I'm still working out the details of this one... hopefully, it'll be complete before next week).

I am superstitious about being superstitious...so I'm not.

I believe most streaks are as likely to come to an end as continue...unless they don't.

I don't like making predictions and but also don't believe in jinx's.

I prefer putting my pants on one leg at a time and typically before I put on my shoes.

Routines in progress or in the works make me laugh

I'm not superstitious, but I am a little stitious.

When watching on TV, I like everyone to sit in the same spot, which means i'm usually pacing back and forth in the kitchen.

Only one thing on Game day. I will not wear opposing colors...unless like last game it is Red of course, but It's Eagle Red not the Enemy Red. It's on Friday that I do my work. Only coffee from an Eastern mug. :coffee: On my way to work, It's only coffee from an Eastern Travel Mug. I wear an Eastern Pin on my UPS uniform, and during the Playoffs this year I've added an Eastern T-shirt under my uniform. See below.

Haha yeah I just saw that! But I hate the niners and if things aren't going well we try new seating configurations.

Go Hawks! :thumb:

Mine isn't necessarily related to Eastern and winning but since it's a positive one that's worked since my son was five and started organized sports, it indirectly helps any team he's associated with... I have a silver Navaho necklace that is my son's "totem" and I've worn it to every sporting event he's ever played in (watches over him and his team - the Moms out there probably have a better understanding of this particular superstition). And yes, there is some Native American heritage mixed up in the lineage (a true mutt indeed)!

I have to touch my EWU flag every day I walk out of the house and talk to it . . . "Let's go Eags." If it gets wound up due to higher winds, I have to unwind it before I leave the house. The luck will stay good as long as I leave and see it flapping in the wind or does not wound up -- if it does wind up while I am gone, that's ok.

The whole family gets together to watch at my mom's (except for games we get to attend in person). No one ever wears the same thing twice this season- We can wear the same EWU tee or sweatshirt, but it has to be with different jeans, etc.... We all have our EWU hats, but we only put them on if we need a rally in the 4th quarter....(we put them on too early for the SUU game - sorry guys, we blame ourselves- we figured out the connection after the damage had been done.) "All I do is win" is cued on the ipod for all scoring drives...... It's like magic, only real.

I like this one! Nice daily routine!

IT WAS YOU!!!! I knew it had to be someone on this board. Seriously those sound like good family rituals! Keep it going!

My five your old son and I MUST run some imaginary plays in the front yard prior to heading to the game no matter what the weather. Must also be with his football that many of the players have been kind enough to sign!
