Sac at Weber

uh lets see, they are 1-17 in ogden and 4-31 overall against Weber and we are pretty good this yr. so without dis'ing sac who will probab have a decent yr...they will lose in ogden by 20. then on to the pacific northwest.

Jackson Carbajal, one of their best players is back from injury. He scored 13 points against NAU Thursday night in his first game back since the season opener in mid November. If he's healthy they have a better record. They lost some close ones. Going to have to play alot better than we did 2 nights ago. Sac St. is a much better team than ISU. I think they make the tourny.

Walter Jackson, one of our more athletic defenders and rebounders has left the team prior to this BSC opening road trip. This game shouldn't be close.

He wasn't a starter right? & Carbajal is back.. It will be closer than you think. Maybe...

He was a significant contributor:

Jackson is a redshirt senior who transferred to Sac State after two seasons at San Joaquin Delta College. The Stockton native was averaging 7.4 points and 4.5 rebounds, playing 22.9 minutes per game. He appeared in all of the Hornets first 11 games, starting in seven.

Like I said, this game shouldn't be close. We have been playing terrible the past couple of games, and played like complete crap against the worst NAU team I have ever seen. We traditional are god awful on the road, but Katz is in his 4th year and this team has been struggling with the same issues for the past 3 seasons.

Very true, but we also should have beaten ISU by 30 or more. Any team on any night my friend. On paper, you are right, hopefuly that translates to the court tonight. I'm pretty sure Randy will have the team fired up after the second-half letdown vs. the Bengals on Thursday.

box score looked great for turnovers. being outrebounded by sac isnt great. we got the win, 8-0 at home. school is out, small crowd. should be more exciting in january!

dame needs 2 more 3's to pass up Jimmy D for career 3's.

Unimpressive 2-game homestand to open Big Sky play, but I'll take the wins. Hopefully they get some of the kinks worked out for the road trip. Tresnak looked great offensively, but getting outrebounded against Sac is shameful. We need Bull back in the worst way.

Does anyone know how attendance is counted? The box score shows we drew north of 5k for this game, which is simply impossible. This tracking used to be much more accurate, and it felt like the counts for football games were low.

Season tkts are counted regardless if they show up. It is still a tkt sold. Don't we have like 4,500 season tkr holders? So if students are accounted for and say 100 were there (school is out) Then it would have been like 1,300 tkts sold at the game today to get 5,900.

We r on track to top last seasons average which is pretty cool that it has improved each ur for 4 years. If we keep winning we should see some good attendance for the sat games. The brackbuster could be a good one too.

Would be awesome to average 7k since that would be the capacity of thr next biggest big sky arena excluding football domes. I hope we can get some 9-10k games for the brackuster n a few others plus if we can host it would boost the average.

2003 averaged 6,600 and had I think 6 games over 9k. But need to look it up. We have a good base this yr of 5k which I have never seen us have.

I thought the attendance was great considering the circumstances. School is out, it's a 2 PM game, and we are playing Sac. Granted, Sac is a much better team than all of those Sac teams of the past that we have come to love, and most of our student live within a stones throw of campus, and the only other thing to do today was watch really boring bowl games, that mean absolutely nothing in the football world, but everything to the advertisers and all the others who profit off of the consumer.

But, I digress. This was a hard fought game. Sac is a definate playoff contender. It has taken them a long time to build it up to this level. Their hard work is showing. They are going to knock some teams off this year, just you wait and see.

As for us, we still need our bigs to start getting more boards. We played good D tonight, that is why we won. If we get to the boards, it will take pressure off of our D and O. :coffee:

We have gotten better and the talent level on the roster has marginally increased the past couple of seasons but this team is just too inconsistent from game to game. We would have 2 or 3 more wins had this team played like they did yesterday for the entire season. Until these inconsistencies are worked out, I have a hard time seeing this program in the BSC tournament.

Happy New Year WSU peeps. :thumb:

Can I just say Dickson is a beast? Man, I would like to have that guy on our team. Too bad he doesn't have some more pieces around him.

I really liked a couple of their young guards, as well. This Sac team is going to get better this year and next. They are one player away from being in the top three of our league. If their community would invest in a new arena for them, it would really help the growth of their program, school and community. Come on Sacramento, get behind your school. :thumb:
