Remember all the hoopla surrounding the disbanding of the St. Mary's football team? Especially the guy who six months later was still saying that St. Mary's was going to kick our patooties?

Well, it's happened again. Kind of. Bethany University, which has been a mainstay of sorts on our pre-season exhibition hoops schedule, is no more. They shut their doors (and I mean the whole school) 13 Jun.

This economy is shaking EVERYONE to the core. This hits close to home because a very close friend of mine graduated from Bethany, and another friend (from the dorms at UOP) lived in Scotts Valley, Bethany's home near Santa Cruz.
