It’s definitely put up or shut up time. Anything less than a playoff berth is failure imo.

Unless we get the autobid, quite a bit will ride on the goodwill we generate (or not) with ECB voters. It'll be easier with the expanded playoffs, but 8-3 will still be the rule of thumb. If we have 7-4 with a QUALITY loss, a playoff berth would be theoretically POSSIBLE, but not very likely because the ECBers will take a 7-4 CAA team over a 7-4 Big Sky team. (I'm not so sure that Oregon State would be a "quality" loss, but it would be seen as such by the voters.) There have been teams who have been snubbed with records of 8-3 or better, but those have traditionally been either independents or limited schollie programs with patently inferior schedules, something that even ECB voters don't bother foisting on the Sky. We make 8-3 or better, and I'm fairly confident that we're in.

7-4 and we are in. 8-3 and we are probably a top 5 seed with a worse case scenario of hosting a first round game. The top 2 BSC teams will make the playoffs with a possible 3rd depending on how things shake up nationally. 7 D-1 wins is the magic number.
