SAC STATE

What are your thoughts on this one? At 3-6 in Conference, this looks like a "gimee". Personally, I don't overlook any team any time and I don't think coach Rahe does either. He will have us ready to swat those pesky Hornets out of their own nest.
I think Dev and crew keeps us rolling toward our eventual destiny to host and WIN the Conf. Tourney. I feel like the Hornets will slow it down and of coarse try to press us like everyone else does. If they keep us under 70 points they will have a better chance to win. I'd love to see Sac miss a few early shots and we get some early transition points to get us smoking and loose early. If that happens,Dev could have another gane with at least 20 points making it 5 in a row. Joel will be a rebounding monster again and will see double figures in glass cleaning and throw a few blocked shots for good measure, Trev breaks out tonight and becomes the unstoppable force in the low post. Senglin and Richardson also have nice games. I see us scoring 80+ and squashing these bugs.
The biggest highlight of the night for Sac State will be when CatCat waves to us all on Big Sky TV. :coffee:

I don't think that Sac is as bad as their record might indicate. It is their home floor and any team can get hot. This game is not a gimme. We should win, if both teams play their normal games. We have the advantage at every position. These games are all about defense and rebounding. If we do those things, we win. If we come out shooting, on top of that, we win big.

Dev has not scored less than 23 in the last 5 games. This game should be no different.

WSU 85 Sac 61

Bolomboy should have another monster night on the boards. Sac St is not big and is not a great rebounding team. Hopefully Weber can get it in to Tresnak down low for some buckets to start the game like they did in Flagstaff.

It's good to see 'Born2BleedPurpleGuy' chiming in with his witty input :thumb:
The target on Weber's back grew a bit larger Thurs nite with the Wildcats holding 1st now...emotions play a part in all games and there are some bumpy roads ahead. Wildcats are in the driver's seat, but can't expect any gimme games...not this year in the BSC! Coach Rahe has it right in saying the team needs to grind it out, each game at a time. Weber St. is definitely picking up the pace, but still have weaknesses to be worked on. On paper - should be a win tonight. GO WILDCATS, build up a distance between you & them, you'll probably need it to win the race down the road. :twocents:

Winning in the Nest is never easy, it's always a dogfight down there, but I am confident that Weber can come out of Sacramento with a win

Heard they packed a couple of cans of Hornet spray in their carry-ons....just hope the Wildcats made it thru TSA with it. :-D

:shocking: Man the Sac announcer is annoying! :shocking:
Every thing that happens is a foul on Weber, though the refs call dirfferently than he sees it!

I know that Carl is something of a "homer" but no where near this out of touch.
:wall:

Sac is playing hard, we need a run and a few shots to fall....

He is Auditioning to take the place of the UNCO announcer. And he is succeeding.

I can't say I've been able to closely follow tonight's game even though I have been able to see most of it, but I'm not seeing the domination in the paint that has been suggested a few times. In fact, Weber's been out-rebounded so far. Although this team is certainly getting better and on paper should have one of the top front courts in the league, they have underperformed IMO if they are indeed as talented as advertized.

Man, this Homer announcing is an absolute clown! Say's his view was blocked the entire play and in the same breath is yelling about a foul that was undeniable and he would stake his "freakin'" life on the fact that if it were Weber or Montana they would get the call 100% of the time. The funny part is, Joel just got "bodied" pretty good on the layup attempt on the other end. From first (NAU-TV) to worst in two days.

Is anyone hearing this announcer?? He is complaining so much the refs said something to him. He said he has done this for 17 yrs. Clearly hasn't learned anything :ohno:

Hmmm...I was waiting for McKenney's missed FT being blamed on the ref's, Weber, Carl/Dutch, or us Wildcat fans. :blah:
