Alpha goes down early. I think he came down wrong on a layup attempt. I hope he is ok. Hornets struggling with turnovers. Beitzel has scored every point for UNC so far.

22-16 UNC. I missed all the action up until now. No idea how much time is left but it appears as though the Hornets are hanging tough. I do see Katz has Groom and Rak in.
32-21 UNC 3:42 left. The Hornets are having another typical pathetic showing from the floor. The good news is Alpha looks to be ok. UNC hasn’t had a great game so far either but are a short run away from putting this one in the bag.
Now Dickson is hurt. It doesn't look serious and he stays in the game. But he air balls the front end of a 1 and 1.

39-24 UNC at the half. This one is in the bag. Hopefully the younger players play the majority of the second half. Typical poor shooting both inside and out and the typical bad ball handling turnovers by the usuals. UNC has shot the ball well from 3.
84-54 UNC final. The Hornets got curb stomped in the second half and completely gave up by the 10 minute mark. I was amazed at how many open shots Beitzel had. Here we have a guy who will probably get the BSC POY and somehow there wasn’t a defender on his hip the whole game. Groom saw some time in the latter half but Rak and McCarver didn’t play until the last few minutes. I’m not really sure what Katz was going for in this one, but in a blow out I don’t know why he didn’t empty the bench earlier in the second half. Katz sure has his work cut out for him going forward.
