Hey everyone,

I'll be sending Coach Sperbeck a follow up email to cap the season. He answered last time and was very generous with his time.

Please submit any questions you might have in this thread and I'll plan on contacting him in the next week or so.

Suggested topics: Recruiting (general questions), 2008 season in review questions, future plans, etc

Go Hornets!

Has this past successful season significantly increased interest from local graduating high school football players, and if so, do you (Sperbeck) intend on allocating more scholarships towards players coming out of high school?

1). Your first inked commitment for '09 is a kicker. Who else are you high on?
2). What does next year's OOC schedule look like (besides davis and UNLV)?
3). Losing Mulitalo, Brannon and Hickman do you foresee changing the defensive scheme?
4). Is MBT coming back? What about Smith's ankle, is this a long term problem?
5). What will it take to beat UM, MSU, Weber and NAU next year?
6). Losing to ISU was a buzzkill, how did the team take it?
7). With our economy in third-world status, what are the plans for a stadium improvement, turf?
8). What is being done to increase season ticket holders?
9). Do you anticipate any staff turnover?
10). Who was the biggest surprise for '08?
11). With the Broad are we getting more interest from recruits?
12). What is it like to work for Wanless?
13). With volleyball and basketball falling off the earth, is the football program ready to take over as the marquee sport at Sac State?
14). Is Travon Jones coming back, how is Wilkens recovery progressing?

GCM,

That's a pretty good list. But I hardly think that WVB is "falling off the earth." This is merely a rebuilding year. I'm sure we'll win the Sky again in 2009.
