OUTRIGHT champions. No sharing!

Where were they picked again during preseason polling??? LMAO.

And I don’t want to hear from naysayers how easy the conference schedule was. The Hornets beat the conferences 3rd place team (tied for 3rd) on the road and just beat the 5th place team also on their own field.

The 3rd place finisher the Hornets beat also just beat the 2nd place finisher by 19 on the same field.
And let’s not forget they beat a hot Portland State team last week that gave EWU a nice battle today.

Schedules rotate and you get who you get. It never mattered in the past when the Hornets had a favorable league schedule, as they never won any league titles.

But this team was capable no matter who they played. And they earned it!

While the Hornets didn’t get to face MSU, EWU or WSU, not one of those teams are as good on both sides of the ball as the Hornets are.

So say it loudly and proudly Hornet fans! Sacramento State Hornets, your 2021 Big Sky Conference Champions!
 
And some of of you (me) lost faith in this squad after the second game, saying this was a 5 win team! 🤣
 
I predicted 10-1 in the thread posted before the season started. Came close Will hopefully get that 10th win in the playoffs and even more!!

I think more than a few of us lost confidence after the first few games. And rightfully so. They didn’t look anything like how they look now.

The o-line looked especially troubling. But kudos to Coach Richardson and staff for developing them. The line now looks like one the team’s strengths.

And the dual QB system has also developed nicely, although I personally would like to see some of O’Hara’s carries reduced and redistributed to Skattebo and Fulcher. They don’t run those guys enough and run O’Hara too much.

Has anybody checked on SD lately??? He must be passed out somewhere. LMAO.
 
What a great game and a great season so far! You nailed it in your post! This team has come together so nicely!! Wasn't sure how good the offense was going to be with a 2 QB system... then losing Dot.. but they have made it look easy.

The defense....WOW!!!!!!!! Who woulda thunk it? Almost had a shutout today!! Tremendous defense and outstanding growth by the secondary!! Major props to them as a unit!!

Kept it low key. Watched the Montana's game and then the Causeway in excitement and astonishment. Then lit a fire in the fire pit out back, cooked a nice meal over the fire/coals, had (a bit too much) to drink and smoked a nice cigar and just soaked in the moment.

Hell of a game, hell of a team. Amazing run. IMO, the secondary and OL shown the greatest improvement through the year, but really there have been key players and improvement across the board. Truly spectacular to watch.

Back to back Big Sky Champions!!!!

I honestly thought I'd never see the day of such a feat for Hornet football. Wow....just wow...I love that we got to hoist the Causeway Trophy and Big Sky Trophy on their field.

Just now coming out of my hazy hangover. What a ride!
All those decades roaming the desert finally over!!

Now the opportunity to smack UCFE again, but I think the Jacks will win.
