Sacramento State @ Portland State Thread

JG's lack of the ability to win is depressing, hopefully the boys have short memories. We were not able to stop this Hornet offense for a single moment last season.

Hubel throws for 350 and 150 from the running game would be nice. I hope to see some mixed up offensive plays like the cowboys did last night...especially in the red zone.

This is the first time I've been happy to have an excuse to miss a game. I'll still be going to future games if they lose, but I bet there won't be many of us if that happens...

Well, I'm picking PSU to win. Sac State is not doing well and their board sounds as depressing as yours. It's a home game and I think you have the offensive fire power to pull off a win. I look forward to playing you later in the season. It's always been a competitive game between the Aggies and PSU.

This game could go any which way. You have a passing game, Sac's defense has been suspect this season. Sac has passing game and some big receivers that are getting better and potential to run the ball. It all depends on whose defense shows up.

PSU's secondary is a little more experienced, I'd say. Don't be surprised to see an interception or two. PSU's passing is fine - until you get to the red zone. Expect a fair amount of running. Could be a close game. By all accounts PSU should win this.

Should be a interesting game Saturday! Depends on which teams show up! Sac finally got some offensive spark last week but the young defense was overmatched by EWU. Hopefully the offensive unit will continue to jell and some adjustments can be made on defense or it could be a long afternoon for Sac. One thing for sure a green team will win! Really there are so many variables here and both teams need a win bad. This could be a nail biter or blow out for either team.

I will go with:

Hornets 38
Vikings 31

Man, I don't even know where to start.

I guess I'll start with this. We just dropped the 2nd in a row to Sacramento State. Sacramento State just won on our field for the first time since 1985. They out played us, and they out coached us. This is embarrassing.

Our offensive play calling is terrible. We start out with a 'we're going to run the ball' plan, then get taken out of it and turn into the pass only team that the rest of the conference is used to. We must be a wet dream for the opposing defensive coordinator. Up a couple scores late in the fourth? Switch to a prevent? Na, sit back in the base 4-3 cover 2 because it will work.

0-3 in BSC play for the first time since 1996. The cat calls for JG have started at the stadium, and will continue if things don't get better. Seeing as there seems to be a serious push of freshman bodies onto the field, I'm thinking this season is going to get worse before it gets better...

I feel for the team, must be incredibly demoralizing for them...keep your heads up guys; things will change somehow, some way.

"Excuse me Coach Lupfer, you have a Torre Chisholm of Portland State University holding on line 1. Shall I put him through?"
