Homecoming and potentially the last time Weber plays the Hornets for a bit (I wouldn't doubt seeing them show up on our schedule in the near future). We are down to our 3rd string QB. I did like the ball he threw for a TD against Davis. He has skill. Is it being developed? We know all about our own problems. Our defense is like a colander. Yet, I felt, early on, they played well against Davis. But, nothing like we got use to under Jay. Three years removed...don't get me wrong. I absolutely think the world of Coach Dale and want him to be successful. He is such an incredible guy. Maybe this week? Offense...well, we just can't finish drives. What's the purpose of sustaining long drives just to get 3 or turn it over on downs? I can't remember who said it, (I believe Chex) but if you want to play power football, playing out of the pistol with 3 to go and running a dive or trap isn't the smartest approach. Just go into the I. I really don't understand the offensive approach inside the 20.
As for Sacramento. There is a lot of talent on that team, but right now, they are either under performing, playing a tough schedule or both. Yet, I feel they are better than Weber where it counts. I don't see a win this weekend for the Cats. I would love it, but I don't think it is going to happen. The Cats keep it close but fade at the end. We have the horses to compete.
I'm really worried about losing out...hope I am wrong.
