“I look back at that year compared to where he’s at now, and he could have made as much improvement as anybody that I’ve ever had here. It’s remarkable,” Rahe said. (Good article in today's SE newspaper.)

From looking like a new born colt as a freshman"... to a senior Wildcat basketball player with NBA prospects...lets give our big guy a well deserved standing ovation send off in what may be his last DEC game - whether he's playing or not---tonight, pre-game!

Thanks Joel, for 4 yrs of great effort you provided & some exciting thrills to watch as a Weber State Wildcat ! :thumb:

VERY VERY DESERVED SENDOFF! What a crowd. Big and loud, just the way I like 'em. Did anyone catch the attendance numbers? I'm guessing somewhere in the 9K area. It was an honor to watch a heated battle between two programs that scratched, kicked, ckawed, tripped ( oops, tripping is only allowed at Duke)
Way to go Joel! Our family wishes you a long and succesful pro career.

According to ESPN there was 8,960 at the game, thought there was more but that was a loud and energized 8960

Here is to Joel Bolomboy, he has been so much fun to watch and I would like to thank him for everything he has done while donning the purple and white. Gonna miss watching him play live

Shades of the past: last night the DEC was rockin', a good crowd, excited coaches, teams, fans; great college game atmosphere; really glad I was there to enjoy it! It was honoring our one senior this year, Bolomboy, but also to see a meaningful game between two successful Big Sky basketball teams. Definitely a championship atmosphere! Great, loud student section.

Meaningless? NO! It was a game to determine 1st place, it was to determine the regular season BSC championship!! Yes, two more games to go, but people were pumped up about it.

Change in processes are natural. It may sometimes be for the worse (in several minds), but the thing to remember is---it evolves---in time, it changes again. So for this year & the next 2, the current change has its turn, then most of us naysayers (I'm one) can strive for the next change, hopefully for the better. It may change back to the past or something else.

Last night at the DEC, it seemed any (bad?) change in the BSC scheme of things was ignored, it was FUN once again! :thumb:

This coming week will be huge. You may have to check out my accuracy but, if we split the next two gmes, the worst we could do is a spot in the NIT. I absolutely prefer the Big Dance but any post season helps with recruiting. It goes without saying that the NCAA's should be our goal every season. I am a dreamer at heart ( which bleeds purple) and I like our chances of running the table. Imagine entering the Big Dance with 27 wins.
Why that would be totally Waldorific!! :notworthy:

It would be great to get Joel back this coming week. I wouldn't want him back unless he is fully recovered, and I know that there is no way to know when that might be. I'm pulling for him to recover quickly. I know that he made a lot of progress last week. If he makes the same progress this week, he could be ready soon. They won't take any chances with him. If he is back, practicing, you will know that he is 100% and ready to go.

It was great to see the large crowd that showed up to honor all of his hard work and dedication to WSU. He is a great ambassador for us going forward.

Hats off to you Joel. :notworthy: :notworthy:

Thanks, indeed! In addition to what he has become physically and as a player, he's another quality, high character young man. I wish him the very best and success making and excelling in the NBA.

He walked out on the court during the Bruce Collins autograph signing and I hollered at him and asked if he'd mind signing an autograph for me. He could have easily given any reason not to and that would have still been fine but he didn't. He took time to "give" to a fan. I told him I already had Lillard, just got Collins, and his signature would complete a compilation of three of WSU's all-time greatest!

I wanted to challenge him to a little one-on-one, I think I could have taken him
