Absolutely! (And I still think if there'd been 5 more minutes in the 4th againt SDSU that there's a good chance we come back on them! But, ifs and buts...)

The notion that history beyond the current season should factor in at all is beyond flawed.

With regard to rankings, postseason seeding, etc, ALL teams should be judged strictly upon their performance, accomplishments and merit of the current season.

IDC if Sac State (or any team) loses in the 1st or 2nd round of the post season every season for the next 10 years. If they win their conference and don't lose many, if any, games along the way they should earn a top 4 seed each time they accomplish the feat.

How a team performed the season before and earlier has no bearing or merit.
