Are there any San Diego fans on here?

Some of us from this board will be at the game. Any advice on where to stay or eat? Other than the hotel del coronado...LOL!

Hello and good luck Tuesday

For heading to Cox Arena I'd suggest Hotel Circle. It's a fine area and 5 miles or so from SDSU. There are plenty of Motel 6, Days Inn type hotels and a couple of fancier ones. If you have no car, most of the hotels are about a mile from Mission Valley trolley which takes you right on campus in just a few stops.

Have fun and travel safe!

As far as food goes. I recommend Old Town Mexican cafe for Mexican food. If you are in the mood for BBQ then Phil's BBQ is the way to go. Around campus I like 4.0 Deli or Woodstocks pizza.

I hope anyone who makes the trip enjoys San Diego.

Hey, folks - welcome to those of you who can make the trip to San Diego, we've dusted off some of our usual Chamber of Commerce weather for your visit. Of course, we'll have our disagreement about the outcome of the game but I'm looking forward to tomorrow night. From what I can gather, your team can really bomb the threes when they're on - which would give anyone fits.

There are a ton of places to stay in town - but I'd stay somewhere not too far away from the trolley. The Green Line of the Trolley runs through Mission Valley and actually stops in the middle of the SDSU campus.

As far as food, where to go, what to do - that list would be insanely long. I'd say the one thing you should have is a Carne Asada burrito. Preferably at 2 a.m. from one of our 24 hour mexican fast food places. Preferably drunk - but that's another story... Second the Phil's BBQ suggestion for BBQ. Another suggestion, go to Pacific Beach, dip your toes in the Pacific Ocean - then go to Lahaina Beach house and have beers on the deck while watching the sun set over the Pacific and watch for the green flash. Of course, you'd have to do that on Wednesday...

Congrats on the post-season. I think Aztec fans are finally getting over the perceived snub from the NCAA committee and are taking a serious look at a Weber State team that could be dangerous.

Hey - will these guys be making the trip??? Because they're definitely dressed for the SD weather! :D

I am sure those guys will be there. Most of them are members of the WSU student "Purple Pak". Should be on their way now.

Thanks for the tips. Despite the outcome of the game, the trip was still fun! I think the WSU fans were more sad to head back home than losing the game on Tues.

As for some insight from someone who was at the game, we didn't have a great shooting night but part of that was due to playing a very good team, they did after all school byu and barely lose the mtn west conf title game.

We were most definitely there!!! San Diego is a great city and a lot of fun. Also, I was really impressed with how classy and accepting the SDSU fans were. UM's student section could definitely learn a lot from the SDSU students. I'll agree with CatCat, it was really hard going back to Utah... I hope SDSU continues their season, and beats their next opponent. Thanks for being so hospitable and for a good game.
