Wilson needs 22 assists to move into second place on the all-time list ahead of Mark Mattos of Weber State. Wilson is also nine points away from reaching 1,000 career points.

weberwildcat - Thanks for the Weber State/NAU series tidbits.

Josh Wilson has 95 assists needed to tie for first in Big Sky Conference history. 10 games left at minimum. 9.5 assists a game needed to tie the record. All Josh has to do is channel the hoops spirit of John Stockton and average 10 assists a game. No problem. I'd have to think the team would be sitting pretty if this happens.

As I've heard him lovingly referred to on Weber State's board - "Baldy" (Coach Adras) has done quite well in Flagstaff. Every college basketball power, be it on the national or just regional/conference level, has continuity and consistency going for it. From my limited point of view, Coach Adras has done a great job at providing these traits to the basketball program.

Regarding Saturday's matchup - I'm going to sit on the fence and predict a home win for each team this year. Hell, I'm just hoping for the chance of a third matchup this season with anybody in the conference playoffs.

Ya, LOL, at WSU he's "baldy"!! LOL

I would love to get one of those Adras' animals shirts.

He's a good coach, had a lot of success at NAU and being the longest tenured coach in the Big Sky frat tells you that alone.

2 things I have learned with NAU having baldy:

1. they will always be competitive
2. they will always be a good 3pt shooting team if not the best

2 questions:

1. Was baldy an assistant for Ben Howland at NAU?
2. What ever happened to AggieJack? Did he dissappear?

weberwildcat -

I'd love an "Adras' Animals" tshirt as well. Haven't the foggiest idea how to go about getting one now that I don't live in Flagstaff. Maybe I should send out a plea for a trade/barter type deal with one of the students in Flagstaff who are able to acquire one? I got up there every year for a day around New Years and campus/bookstore is always closed then.

I've learned a few things about Weber State's program over the years as well:

1.) year in and year out, the Wildcats will be in the running for somewhere between first and third in conference
2.) a few UM Grizzly supporters may beg to differ but Weber has the most tradition/history of any Big Sky team
3.) your teams are always more athletic than they look and never - at least from the games I've seen - ever quit

Yup, Adras was an assistant under Howland. The current head coach at Pitt, Jamie Dixon, was an NAU assistant under Howland as well. Do a search on google with "Ben Howland and Mike Adras" as the key words. A few articles from the LA Times discussing Howland's time at NAU.

No recent comments from AggieJack. I knew he'd been working on (was it) doctoral work or maybe masters work and that tends to not allow one to have much semblance of a life. Maybe he finished up? AggieJack.....you out there?

Apart from King and the occasional other team fan posting here it's certainly slow.
