2 WHITE OUT GAMES IN A WEEK HUH? BETTER HOPE OUR BOYS ARE UP TO THE TASK. :coffee: :coffee: THEIR MASCOT BETTER NOT WEAR THAT HOOD LIKE "BENNY" THE BENGAL WEARS. I RECKON THAT WOULD BE FROWNED UPON IN BOTH SACRAMENTO AND FLAGGSTAFF. :coffee: :coffee:

My two kids and I will be there and will be wearing purple! I hope we get a good turnout of Wildcat Fans. Last year there were a good number of Wildcat Fans at the game. It would be fun to have a sizable and loud Weber section behind our bench. That's where I'm getting my tickets. So anyone going to the game make sure you're sitting behind Weber's bench and wearing purple. Come On! I know we have a lot of Wildcat's in AZ and within easy driving distance living in So. Utah, Las Vegas area.

Those of you living in Ogden, make a day trip out of it. It's a beautiful drive and it will be sunny and 60 in Flagstaff saturday. Come get out of the snow and cold!

Let's Go Wildcats! We've Got To Run The Table!

****FYI! Anyone driving down from Utah. If you are going to drive through Kanab, which is the route most people take to and from the Wasatch Front, Highway 89 south of Page, AZ is closed due to a landslide. The detour around the landslide adds an extra hour to the drive between Page and Flagstaff. Instead of driving from Kanab on 89 through Page, AZ take Highway 89A south from Kanab into AZ and on to Flagstaff. This will get you around the detour/landslide and save you an extra hour of driving.*****

This driving info might be valuable to pass on to the athletic department, alumni department and post to Weber's fb page. Does anyone know who to pass this information on to?

Montana was supposed to have a "maroon out" against us, but handed out white shirts so that's 3 "white out weber" games?

Thanks for the info on the roads Zona. Good to know

MIgram are you headed to the game on Sat? I know of five other friends, and their families, who will be there on Sat.

Just a FYI...this is a Saturday AFTERNOON game, starts at 2pm Mountain time.

It is supposed to be broadcast in HD on Fox Sports AZ Plus....this usually is shown on Direct TV on channel 695 (695.1 for the HD feed) but as of last night, their schedule had not been updated.

Go Wildcats, win 'em both this week!

Saturday is THE day.
Weber playing game 2 of a tough road swing. Sac St Thursday night, NAU Sat afternoon??!! We couldn't get a Saturday night game in Flagstaff.
And Montana traveling to Bozeman. MSU looks to be putting it baack together based on last night's win in Cedar City. Hopefully they have something left for the Griz.
Will be interesting to see how the Griz perform Sat without Ward and Cherry. Sometimes the rest of the team really steps up when stars go down.

Weber has to be ready for the Jacks. NAU knows, like SAC, that they are on the ropes of not making the conference tourney and need to finish out the season strong. Weber needs to take care of business. I think the Cats should have more success in the paint than they did on Sat. Jacobsen started out hot, but has kinda cooled off as the season has gone on offensively. They never were a solid interior defense team. While Tres has become a machine and has only gotten better. It seems like the Jacks are depending solely on Rogers and Russel to lead them. I don't understand the afternoon tip, but whatever. I'm guessing it has to do with TV.

SUU totally fell apart last night. Stevenette had two TOs in the final half min, which allowed the bobs to steal the game. Bigalow came up huge at the end for the bobs. UND, MSU, SUU, and SAC all have good teams, they just aren't very consistent. I'm hoping that a road win will give the bobs some much needed confidence for their game against the Griz on Sat night. As for the Griz...they are deep, like the Cats, but how reliable is their depth? De'Sheilds, Gregory, Weisner, Martin, and Henderson are the future and they are going to be playing against a very determined/talented Bobcat team that knows they should have won in Missoula in January. We will see what will happen on Saturday night. But most important, Weber can't have any let downs. Gotta finish out the road trip strong and beat the Jacks.

Weber needs to take care of our own games, and let fate/karma/prayer/good wishes work in our favor. Here's hoping that can happen this weekend!

i hope the team travel goes well. would be nice to not have it take a toll on them as well they game is a sat day game. i didnt even realize that. nau/sac not the best road trip for travel.

Moving the game to 2:00 PM had nothing to do with TV. The coaches already looked into that. It has everything to do with NAU trying to make life harder on WSU, with the travel. I hope that this tactic just pisses our guys off even more. I hope that the BSC has a little conversation about this sort of thing and puts some limmitations on it in the future. If the BSC is trying to promote its brand, this is not the way to do it!

On the game, I feel that Sac is a tougher team than NAU. The lone advantage that NAU has is that they will get us when we may be just a bit tired and road weary. However, our pattern this year has been to play better on the second game, of a road swing, than the first. We seem to play much more relaxed and focussed in the second game of a road trip. Go figure??? :thumb:

Traditionally, we have played quite well at NAU. We will have a good group of fans at the game and the altitude is much less a factor for us than most teams in the BSC.

I think we roll in this one! WSU +20

Huge game, I watched the ISU/NAU game last night and NAU can get hot from 3 land, however neither team made much noise inside, ISU actually seemed to have better inside success than NAU, It may have been ISU's zone, but NAU seemed to struggle.

NAU swept Sac this year, so they are the better team, but After Weber, Montana and North Dakota, there's just to much inconsistency.

I'm thinking we win by about 10.

Interesting stat:

rahe is 12-3 vs nau
2007 he went 3-0
2008 we went 0-3
we havent lost since, so 9 straight wins
that means 4 straight wins in flagstaff right now.

With a win at NAU on Saturday the Wildcats would reach 10 road wins in a season for just the third time in school history and the first in 43 years. The last time the Wildcats had 10 road wins was in the 1969-70 season under head coach Phil Johnson. The school record for most wins in a season was 11 by Johnson’s team in 1968-69 that finished the year 27-3, the best record in school history.

Very cool. I had no clue. This is a significant record.

Wow!! This would be a huge record to break for Weber!! Go Cats. Beat the Jacks.

I'll be sure to remind the NAU coaches/athletic department officials I cross paths with today that their primary job is to accomodate the opposition. ;-) I'm just being a smartass here, oldrunner.

I agree that Weber State should roll in this this one. NAU only has two players with the ability to create their own shots. Rogers and Russell. They struggle to score points if one of them is off. Rebounding and turnovers have both troubled NAU and WSU is probably the strongest Big Sky team in the paint. I fully expect the Wildcats to feed their bigs in the paint today. NAU is playing much better this season than last but there are too many flaws present to beat a complete team... unless WSU ends up having a truly off day.

Heading out now for the drive up the mountain. Looking forward to chatting with your fanbase today. Good luck, Wildcats.

MTJack
