EWU just finished up beating George Fox. Scored 126 pts breaking the record for most pts in a single game held since 1969.

Also a school record for steals with 23 breaking the record of 19 done twice. That was my guess on Von Hoffe also. Though he did have a uniform on, so I'm guessing its not too bad. Bruised hip maybe?

Somewhat off topic but related to injuries. Why does Hayford play starters the full game when it is just an exhibition game? Injuries are not worth it.

Clarification, George Fox was not an exhibition game. It counts on the schedule just as much as the loss to Mississippi State. They (GFU) can schedule the game as an exhibition, because there's a clause that says teams sub-DII can schedule games for paychecks early in the year that don't impact their won/loss record. It's one of those weird rules changes that came down around 2010 when they expanded the length of the season to make for less games around Winter finals.

I did not think it was an exhibition either. Although I said to my wife I wish he would get out starters off the floor so they don't het hurt. 2 min later McBroom goes down. The only thing I can think of is that he is trying to get our guys in shape for the season. Those who are going to play the most min.

SirGarethThe3rd,
We were asking the same questions, with that big a lead, figure we would have an opportunity see all the Players on the Roster. Saw you down below, sat on top these old knees are getting hard to come up the few steps. Wish they could put some railings up to the top. This team is going to bring in a lot of Spectators. I really enjoyed seeing the chemistry between the Players. Love Jesse Hunt, he is really going to be tough on the boards. McBroom and the rest of the team are going to really show some stuff on the courts. Saw a WSU Fan in his 70's today, even he was impressed with what he saw, He couldn't believe we scored 126 points. See you tomorrow night at 6 pm, will be a lot of fun. Hope McBroom injury isn't bad. Vic Wallace

Coach probably kept the starters in the game to work on conditioning and continuity. Many new moving parts and they need to work things out at game speed. George Fox kept pressing and pushing the ball so it was a good time to work on fast-paced execution. I hope McBroom's injury is not too severe. He is an excellent point guard.
