score PREDICTIONS Game #8 - ISU vs Portland State

Dome Sweet Dome.
We're home this weekend to revitalize the spirit of this team. We've shaken off the road loss, and ready to spark a win! We as a community need to be ready to help bolster the team and bring energy to The Dome.
This week we have Portland State. Portland is 0-6. But that doesn't mean this is a guaranteed win. Far from it. Portland may be winless, but they hung very well all game with BYU, and fell a field goal short of the win against another FBS school in Oregon State.
Last week they had 26 first downs, 457 yards of offense, and without 2 turnovers, could of had a win against a good NAU team after controlling the ball for over 36 minutes.
Last week, we didn't play bad as a team, but in my opinion didn't play with the same determinion and fire as we have had. After talking with a few players this week, that won't be the case this Saturday. We're going to be favored for the second time this year, and will prove we deserve the nod.
My prediction: OUR BENGALS 37 - Portland 31

Tanner Gueller to mitch Gueller with a TD to put us ahead with 1:35 seconds left on the clock. ensuing Kickoff coverage team stops PSU at the 18 yard line and PSU needs to go 82 yards for a TD and a FG doesn't help them. They had to burn a timeout on there last drive because on a third down there QB couldn't get the team organized quick enough to snap the ball before play clock expired because our Home Crowd was so loud. So PSU only has two timeouts available for there last drive. they burn two timeouts due to us tackling there recievers in bounds before they could get a first down. Then on 4th down and 10 from our 28 yard line we break up the pass to cause a turnover on downs with 18 seconds left on the clock. Offense gets in Victory formation to run out the clock and the crowd goes crazy as the team comes over to the crowd to sing the fight song.

.....and hopefully UC Davis.....maybe another upset somewhere .....
